To those of you who don’t know Matt Cutts – he’s the head of Google’s Webspam team. I found this video of an interview with him, which I’ll embed below.
It goes over link building, social media, onsite SEO, and some common misconceptions – like having to pay Google to be listed in the results (which isn’t true).
Just switched the theme here at Leland.info for a much simpler and minimalistic look. Thanks to Mitch Bryson for the template.
Also, a few days ago was Theme Lab’s birthday. Can’t believe it’s already been a year since I’ve started that site. It’s grown into a very active site.
Like the post title says, I just upgraded to Firefox 3. There were a few problems accessing the site as this was the first day it came out. I managed to find a working download link though. Just a few first impressions:
It’s faster and uses less RAM
The graphics are nicer
A few addons (Firebug) don’t work
Overall, I’m glad I made the upgrade. It’s definitely nice to have a faster browser, and most of the addons have new compatible versions to go along with the new Firefox. Hopefully the remaining addons will have updates soon enough.
I know, it’s a little late – but I’ve just upgraded this blog to run the latest version of WordPress, 2.5.1. To the 2 or so people who actually read this blog, you probably won’t notice much of a difference.
If you want some extra insight on domains and web development, look no further than Pro Web Talk. It’s a brand new blog but it should be getting some more quality posts about the domain industry and the web in general. Check it out!
